I've been getting a lot of phone calls with questions/concerns about some new things happening here at Tip Tap Toes Dance. For those of you who couldn't make it to the first class, let me go over some things that were explained in class that you missed. As most of you know, I am pregnant and expecting a baby next season. We have been planning on a family for some time now, which is why I hired our new instructor Christina Gover earlier this summer to teach my summer classes. She did such an awesome job, that I decided it was a good idea to have her teach my Tuesday and Thursday classes this Fall. Teaching 13 classes is a lot of work and time, and I decided that I needed the help this season. I know most of you are used to having me teach your dancers, but unfortunently as Tip Tap Toes is growing, I am not able to keep up with that many classes. However, Christina is such an awesome teacher who I trust completely and know that she will teach your children everything you will need to know about dance, and have fun while doing it! She is awesome with technique and choreography and I know she will do a great job. We will work together to make this season awesome for you and your dancer!
The poll that I put on this blog last season showed that you parents had a greater desire for your dancers to focus more on technique in each class. This season I decided that for the December recital each class will perform only one dance versus the two. This dance will be twice as long, but will give us teachers the chance to forcus on all 3 styles of dance in each class rather than just learning 2 dances. Hopefully this will help in also being able to perfect the dances more for the recital.
The costumes for the 2009 December recital have been ordered and will arrive in early November. Please do not have your dancer play in these costumes, I can not replace them. Class pictures will be held the week of November 17th-19th during class. I will update with more information as that date gets closer. The recital will most likely take place on December 7th, we are still in the process of negotiating.
I have been getting phone calls about questions and some concerns and it's sometimes hard for me to get back to you quickly. Please remember that if you have a question check the blog first and fill free to leave a comment in the tuition box. These comments can be anonymous and I have comment cards available for you outside the box. I love hearing both the good and the bad so please leave comments! I want Tip Tap Toes to be a great experience for you and your dancer so any suggestions you have will help!
