Hello Everyone!
I just wanted to say what an awesome job you all did at the recital, you too parents! I cannot thank you enough for all your help and hard work, especially all the volunteers backstage. Wow, what a tight space....next year I'm thinking we need to go a little bigger! Thank you Thank you Thank you! Dancers, you looked so adorable in your outfits and I couldn't be prouder as your teacher. I think the recital went well, however there are a couple of things I would like to go over.
I did have a couple of people concerned about the music, and that some dances were short versus other dances. In the future, if we do one dance per class the dance will be the entire song so our dancers can get the most out of there dances, and those costumes you pay so much for;)
I would LOVE to hear your feedback both good and bad regarding the recital. We are constantly trying to improve so anything you have to say is always welcome. Please fill free to email me or leave a comment anonymously if you wish.
I would like to inform the parents and dancers that will be coming back with us for the Spring, Miss Christina will no longer be teaching at Tip Tap Toes. We have enjoyed having her teach this last season, but we will have 2 brand new teachers that will be teaching in her place. I would like to tell you a little about our two new teachers!
Our first teacher who will be teaching our Tuesday evening classes and our Wednesday evening classes is Miss Tamra. Tamra has been dancing since the age of three. She has training and performing experience in tap, ballet, jazz, and hip hop. Tamra started teaching dance at the age of 12 and has been teaching ever since. Tamra was a member of the Idaho Falls High School Tigerettes for three years and was Captain her senior year.
She has received several accolades while competing, for most of her career. She continued her training, performing and competing with the Harvey Neef Mane Line Dancers at Boise State University, for three years. While on the team, she traveled and competed nationally, winning third place one year and national championship twice. She was a member of the Idaho Stallions Dance Team for one season and was a four year member of the Idaho Stampede Spirit Dance Team. She continues to serve as a choreographer for the squad.
Tamra has been teaching and choreographing for many years in Idaho. As an instructor for UDA dance camps, she has traveled all over the Pacific Northwest as a teacher for all ages and all styles of dance. Tamra has experience in all areas of dance: teaching, performing, choreography, judging, and continues her own personal education in any way she can. Tip Tap Toes is so excited to have Tamra join our studio!
Marissa Counter is another one of our teachers that will begin with us this Spring. She will be teaching the Tuesday afternoon classes as well as the Thursday evening classes. Marissa has danced all her life and has taught dance for several different dance groups. She was an instructor for Julie's Jazzworks where she excelled in Ballet, Lyrical and Hip Hop. Marissa has dance experience in Jazz and Tap as well as modern dance and has choreographed dance routines for her traveling competitive teams. She is currently attending BSU where she will be graduating with her degree in Criminal Justice. We are so excited to have Marissa join us this season!

Kami -
You did a phenomenal job on the recital! I'm so glad I was able to be a part of it! And I hope you get more ladies next year because of it. It truly is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us non-dancers! :)
I'm excited for the new teachers. You always try so hard to find the best dance teachers, so I'm sure they'll be great!
One question - Ashton would like to know if there are any other boy dancers in his All Age Hip Hop class. He constantly tells me he's so excited to do his "tricks" in his class!
Talk soon, Joy
I want to thank the blogger very much not only for this post but also for his all previous efforts. I found www.tiptaptoesdance.com to be extremely interesting. I will be coming back to www.tiptaptoesdance.com for more information.
